To Whom It May Concern:

My wife and I have a practice that is nearly 20 years old, but we needed some help when our visit numbers started to drop. Paul came in and looked at our operations and found where we were weak. He helped us develop a very specific operations budget, customer service training program for our entire staff, and an effective marketing program for our practice. All of these changes have made a positive impact on our practice and our numbers are on the way up.

Paul is professional, likeable, an effective communicator, and very knowledgeable about the business of physical therapy. He is an excellent choice if you need some help on how to run your practice more effectively.

To Whom It May Concern,

We utilized Martin Acquisitions Group to build an operating structure for our business. We have shown extremely positive results in the operations of our business. All of our staff review and respond to weekly operations reports, and we are all focusing on the very same targets. We have exceeded targets and the business is performing very well in all areas. I would strongly recommend Martin Acquisitions Group to any business owner in the health care field that is interested in building operations systems in order to improve performance.

To Whom It May Concern,

I am writing on behalf of Mr. Paul Martin, an intermediary consultant who recently helped me significantly with merging my company with a public company. I feel Mr. Martin's expertise, experience and professionalism was invaluable in obtaining the maximum value for my practice. I also feel Mr.  Martin was extremely helpful in the negotiation process with the merger documents to assure that the merger was completed. His expertise was also invaluable in making the merger process smoother as an intermediary between the buyer and my attorney.

I would, therefore, without hesitation strongly recommend Mr. Martin as a merger consultant based on his professional experience in maximizing the value of a practice for sale and finding an appropriate buyer.

Sincerely,

Michael P. Martire, M.D.
Medical Director

Dear Paul,
We want to thank you so much for the expert and professional manner in which you assisted us in the sale of our practice. You communicated frequently, gave us excellent input, and most of all, understood our needs. I know this was one of the most A to Z sales in the history of Physical Therapy.

Sincerely,
Joan Brown, P.T.

Dear Paul,

In may of 2002 I sought your expertise and guidance to open a private physical therapy office. You gave me step by step guidelines on how to position myself in a very competitive market, budget, plan a marketing strategy, hire and run the day to day operations of the office. On November 4, 2002 I established Physical Therapy and Sport Services to deliver the highest quality of physical therapy services in the Hauppauge NY area.

One year onto ownership I can see the difference your expertise has brought to my practice. Paul, you gave me the knowledge and insight to run a successful physical therapy office. I have over double and occasionally tripled my projected budget. I have a great staff in place and the tools needed to successfully grow in today's market. You gave me the building blocks to realize my dreams of successful ownership.

Paul, I would like to thank you for your guidance and expertise. You were generous with your time and very easy to contact. Your prompt attention to my many questions was greatly appreciated. I would recommend Martin Acquisitions Group to any one interest in starting a physical therapy facility. I look forward to a long successful and rewarding career.

Thank you,
Stephen Cowden, PT

Dear Paul,

I just want to say thank you for the assistance you have been in evaluating my practice. I would have had no idea of how to approach the group that is buying me out and at this point your expertise and assistance, even though we’ve never met, has been of great value.

Being a physical therapy practice owner for the last 23 years and being immersed in the business aspects of the practice without significant training has been a challenge for me, however with each challenge surrounding myself with qualified people it’s been a great help and now that it has come time to look at the possible sale of my practice your assistance has been something that has really lightened my load.

I believe the creditability of your evaluation and report has helped me in my negotiations so that even though I being purchased by a large medical practice they are seeing a value in my practice that warrants specific consideration and what I hope will be a satisfactory buy out.

Again, I appreciate your expertise and your gentle and thorough approach and also your accessibility has been something that’s really been very helpful for me. Thanks again.

DAKOTA PHYSICAL THERAPY

To Whom It May Concern:

I just cannot say enough good things about Paul Martin to justify how awesome he was in helping me with the sale of Dakota Physical Therapy. Paul led me through each phase of the planning and sale process with professionalism and keen insight into all aspects of my acquisition. Paul provided me with useful information of market trends and how each trend would impact my sale. I only planned on utilizing Paul as a business broker to assist me in the sale of my office. I was surprised that he turned out to be a trusted confidant and someone whose opinion I sought at every turn.

Through no fault of Paul’s, we hit some rocky patches due to the seller. Paul pulled me through each and every glitch with great strategies and confidence. I don’t know if the sale would have gone through had it not been for Paul’s expertise, persistence and contacts.

Paul’s professionalism, warm sense of humor, expertise and passion for what he does makes him an excellent person to work with. During the course of the sale of a business, some things are bound to not go as planned. Paul helped me avoid all of these from a seller’s prospective and work proactively to minimize this from the buyer. He handled every turn in the process as well as I could have asked for. I whole-heartedly recommend Paul Martin and Martin Acquisitions. He really knows the industry inside and out while being incredibly easy to work with.

Respectfully,

Dear Paul:

I want to take this opportunity to thank you for all the work you did with us in 2002. As I assess the state of our practice in early 2003, I am confident that we are in a much stronger position to achieve our goals than ever before, thanks in large part to your help.

It doesn’t seem like too long ago when we first met at the Private Practice Section meeting in Memphis in the fall of 2001 to discuss how I wanted to grow and improve our practice. We began with an eye-opening Valuation of our business that gave us the starting point to begin the Strategic Planning that laid out the game plan for helping us achieve the goals and lifestyle that we were looking for, but could not really get our arms around. You challenged us to look at our practice in terms of how we wanted it to be from many perspectives - personal, family, professional and financial. With your help, we were able to step out of the day-to-day operations and plot a concrete plan that would crystallize our dreams, goals and ideas into an achievable reality.

Part of the plan we developed involved establishing an Executive Committee. This was an incredibly effective move, as it laid out specific Job Descriptions and accountabilities for key positions within the practice. Since we have done this, our workplace is more streamlined and things are actually getting done. We have senior level management positions that have created opportunities for advancement within our organization for the excellent clinicians and managers that might otherwise move on for more challenges. Additionally, your serving as Ex-Officio Chair of the Executive Committee helped us stay focused on a “no stories - no excuses” management style. We used to get so bogged down in looking for reasons and excuses, but now we are focused on goals, targets and action. It is a much more effective environment for growth and productivity.

The Marketing Program you helped develop is off to a strong start. We have a more focused approach to drive business into the clinics. Again, there is accountability in place and a method of measuring performance that let’s us know exactly how we are doing and what areas we need to improve.

Finally, the Incentive Compensation Program that you helped us to install is working very well. We had tried countless incentive programs in the past, but were never happy with the results. The framework of this program from you has given us the first truly fair and motivating program we have ever had.

It has been a great experience working with you. Your industry knowledge, experience and genuine desire to help us achieve our goals has been instrumental in propelling our practice to new heights and leaves us better prepared to face the challenges and opportunities down the road.

Sincerely,

Dear Paul,

I want to thank you for building a fast, efficient and productive structure for our office. As a Physical Therapist and private practice owner, I have been constantly looking for new ways to survive and expand my business in an ever so growing face of health care. My personal efforts have been on program development and lately on management. My partner and I have been running a growing business without any solid structure. My time was being clinically and administratively torn and I found my practice floundering. Our expenses were skyrocketing which required us to increase referrals. During one of our meetings "What will we do?" I came across your article written in Advance Magazine for Directors on practice management. (May 01 Issue)
After your on site visit and consult I felt more confident and in control of my business as a manager. Managing the professional staff by the data obtained objectively and not by their subjective report of satisfaction. Budgeting strategy for the year will enable me to project growth, handle inefficiencies and set appropriate goals.
It was inspiring to see your assessment technique and problem solving skills. This service has saved me enormous amounts of my time and provided me with knowledge to launch a Compensation program for the therapist at all levels.
It has been one month since the program has been implemented and changes are phenomenal, in terms of productivity and participation of the staff into the program development for the clinic.

Thank you,

Sincerely,

To whom it may concern,

Our practice quickly achieved a significant return on investment from
Paul Martin's mentoring program. His consultations helped us to avoid
critical and costly mistakes that had been a part of our original growth strategy. We are on pace to double last years revenue and attribute a lot of our success to the guidance we received from the Martin Acquisitions Group Mentoring Program.

As a recent seller of a private practice, Martin Acquisitions Group provided us with the
guidance and support we needed to successfully navigate through the
acquisition process. They were able to thoroughly analyze our business, and
package and present our business profile to a wide variety of potential
buyers. Due to Paul Martin's vast knowledge of this ever-changing industry, he
advised us on strategies to strengthen our business and place us in the
best possible position for acquisition. He was very responsive to our
needs, and as our business broker, he was well worth the investment.

To Whom It May Concern:

I recently sold my physical therapy clinics and used Martin Acquisitions Group to represent me. It is my opinion that they did an excellent professional job finding me the best buyer at the best possible price. It took a lot of pressure off me since he improved the bottom line profit through sophisticated accounting which held up through scrutiny under due diligence by the buyer. If you do it yourself, you will sell yourself short on the price you get. In addition, the Martin Acquisitions Group process of considering all potential buyers helped us to find the best buyer for our business.

Martin Acquisitions Group set the best maximum price, found the best buyer, negotiated on our behalf with the buyer and negotiated many of the problems that came up in the deal. It's not a simple process. Don't take it lightly. He earned his fee and in the end I got the best deal I could get. It sure took a lot of pressure off of me.
